Back in the 70’s – that would be 1970’s – there was a song that came out called, “Silence is Golden.” It was a popular song – simple. Someone sees that a young girl is going to get hurt by a man. It is obvious to all except this young girl – she can’t see what is happening.
Silence is golden
But my eyes still see
Silence is golden, golden
But my eyes still see.
In our world today, I see the destruction that surrounds me – I can see with my eyes – but my words just fall to the ground – silence is golden.
That is what the world has to offer.
BUT, God has a different plan – a different silence. It is in those quiet moments, alone with Him, that I am refreshed – renewed.

Psalm 147:3 – He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. (ESV)
I come into His Presence – running to Him – then I curl up in His big lap and He holds me in silence. I too. It is quiet and healing. I pour out the tears but no words are ever spoken. When I am refreshed – renewed – I give Him a hug and go back out into the world ready to share the healing that I received.
I remember another song – a hymn from my youth. I am sharing it with you today:
Oh, Yes! He cares! I know He cares – He cares for you and for me.
