Anticipation. Excitement. Awaiting. Promise.
Can you remember a time in your life where you were anticipating something coming – someone coming?
Maybe the birth of a little one. Maybe seeing someone that you haven’t seen in many years? A new job? A new adventure?

For me, each day brings anticipation. Anticipation of another day with my Lord and my Savior! What will He bring me today?
Years ago, there was a man named, Simeon, who was “waiting” on the Messiah. Each day, he waited. It wasn’t that he didn’t have anything else to do – but he was always in the mode of anticipation – awaiting the coming of the Savior of the World.
“There was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon, and this man was righteous and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon Him.” – Luke 2:25 (ESV)
Do you anticipate hearing from God each day? Are you aware of your surroundings? Anticipating what God will do each day? Through nature? Through a friend? Through His Word? Through a hug?
God waits for us. He anticipates us coming to Him. Longing for us to feel His Presence.
God is real. Like us – He waits – He anticipates – He longs – for us to hear Him.
Diligently seek Him today. Don’t let another day go by without reaching out to Him – to know Him – to desire Him.
My song that I share today is one of my favorites. I know. I know. I say that about all the songs that I put on my blog! My prayer is that you will sense His Presence and realize that He awaits – He anticipates – spending time with you.
