When did we lose our way?
When did we stop following hard after the Heavenly Father? Making Him our top priority?
Not just as families or as a church or as a community – but when did we lose our way as a Nation? A Nation under God?
So many have fallen along the way and can’t seem to get back up. Forgetting about holiness, justice, faithfulness, love, hope, and tender humility.
At this point it doesn’t so much matter how it happened; but how we can find the right path back to Him.
As I unfolded God’s Word this morning to 1 Timothy 6:11-12, my eyes were opened to God’s Truth and I thought – where did we go so wrong as a Nation that was under God?
When I first originally wrote about this in 2016, I thought at that time it couldn’t get any worse. And yet, today I look out and once again ask, where did we go so wrong?
We are at another crossroad and it is time to seek God – seek His Ways – seek His Thoughts. Get back on the right track.
Paul wrote these words to Timothy many years ago – encouraging him to stay on the ancient path – the path where Jesus showed us to follow after Him:
Timothy, you are God’s man, so run from all these errors. Instead chase after true holiness, justice, faithfulness, love, hope, and tender humility. There is a battle raging, so fight with faith for the winner’s prize! Lay your hands upon eternal life, for this is your calling – celebrating in faith before the multitude of witnesses! – 1 Timothy 6:11-12 (TPT)
My dear sweet and precious friends – join me in finding the path that leads back to the Father – that leads us back to holiness, justice, faithfulness, love, hope, and humility.
As I finish today, I want to leave another Scripture with you – one that has touch my heart for over 3 years now. It has been such a good focal point for me:
Thus says the LORD: “Stand by the roads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’ – Jeremiah 6:16 (ESV)
I encourage you today to find that path that your Heavenly Father designed for you to walk down – with him today. I guarantee that you will find rest for your soul.
My Song: We need to find our way back to the Father’s Heart. Breaking through fear can be so hard at times. Especially when we already feel defeated. The enemy wants us down and out – done. But I say, we arise and find the path that leads to the Father’s Heart. Join me.
