Time has flown by these last weeks. The evil surrounding us seems to be intensifying and more and more people appear to be losing hope. Lies and deceptions are mounting upon us and many are being easily deceived.
This is where I found myself looking at Chapter Seven in the Book of Revelation.

Revelation 7
After this, I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth, so that no wind would blow on the land, on the sea or on any tree. I saw another angel coming up from the east with a seal from the living God, and he shouted to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea, “Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads!” I heard how many were sealed — 144,000 from every tribe of the people of Isra’el:
From the tribe of Y’hudah 12,000 were sealed,
from the tribe of Re’uven 12,000,
from the tribe of Gad 12,000,
from the tribe of Asher 12,000,
from the tribe of Naftali 12,000,
from the tribe of M’nasheh 12,000,
from the tribe of Shim‘on 12,000,
from the tribe of Levi 12,000,
from the tribe of Yissakhar 12,000,
from the tribe of Z’vulun 12,000,
from the tribe of Yosef 12,000,
from the tribe of Binyamin 12,000.
After this, I looked; and there before me was a huge crowd, too large for anyone to count, from every nation, tribe, people and language. They were standing in front of the throne and in front of the Lamb, dressed in white robes and holding palm branches in their hands; and they shouted, “Victory to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”
All the angels stood around the throne, the elders and the four living beings; they fell face down before the throne and worshipped God, saying, “Amen! “Praise and glory, wisdom and thanks, honor and power and strength belong to our God forever and ever! “Amen!”
One of the elders asked me, “These people dressed in white robes — who are they, and where are they from?” “Sir,” I answered, “you know.” Then he told me, “These are the people who have come out of the Great Persecution. They have washed their robes and made them white with the blood of the Lamb. That is why they are before God’s throne. “Day and night they serve him in his Temple; and the One who sits on the throne will put his Sh’khinah upon them. They will never again be hungry, they will never again be thirsty, the sun will not beat down on them, nor will any burning heat. For the Lamb at the center of the throne will shepherd them, will lead them to springs of living water, and God will wipe every tear from their eyes.” – CJB
There is a lot to take in from these verses, but I encourage you not to get caught up in the arguments. Let’s take what is in front us and see what God has to say:
John has two visions in these words:
- The 144,000 that comes from the 12 Tribes of Jacob – Israelites
- The Great Multitude
There have been many arguments regarding the 144,000 – with some playing with God’s Word and stating it has to do with them. It very clearly says where these people will come from. There is mention of the four angels holding back the winds from the four corners of the earth. And then an angel appears from the east telling them to hold off the destruction until these 144,000 have been sealed with the Seal from the Living God. I can’t even begin to imagine what this day will feel like to those present.
The next vision relates to a Great Multitude – from every Nation, tribe, people, and language. Believe me there will be no hatred towards one another in this group.
I find this amazing as we have a group of Millennials representing a Generation and we have reference to the Millennial Era coming around the corner. I truly believe that this Scripture refers to that time of the Millennial Age with this great multitude of people representing those saved by the Blood of Jesus during this time. But that doesn’t truly matter – what matters is “have you been washed by the Blood of the Lamb?”
There is no other way to make it into the Presence of God without being washed by the Blood of the Lamb. Oh yes, Satan is working overtime trying to make people believe that anyone can make it to Heaven by any route that they want to come – but that is the lies and the deceptions of the Enemy.
Rest assured that in God’s Wisdom and Knowledge, He will reveal to us whatever we need to know in this Present Age – we just need to know what the Times are revealing to us.
But one thing that holds true and will never change is the ticket to Heaven is the Blood of the Lamb – and that is Christ Jesus.
Reading this chapter today, I remembered a verse from Hebrews 12:1-3
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. (NIV)
The Great Cloud of Witnesses is all of those gone before us. Do you ever wonder about how words have become so popular of late: iCloud for one – The Millennials. I don’t think any of this just happens out of thin air.
I can’t help but wonder “who will be that last soul saved?”
I leave these thoughts with you today to consider. Today, we are surrounded by Darkness – but there is still a “Light” that shines off in the distance. But one day, that light will disappear and it will be total darkness. It will be a very scary time for sure.
Have you been washed by the Blood of the Lamb?
Heavenly Father, the seriousness of these words truly touched my soul today. How many are out there that have not accepted Jesus as their Savior? How close are the end times upon us? Father, we need to be aware of the times and aware of the lies and deception of the Evil One. May I be a lighthouse to those in need. I love you, Lord. I ask this in Christ Jesus’ name, amen.
