Today, starts Lent Season for 2018.  It is a time of year, for me, where I start focusing upon Jesus Christ and what He has done for me.  It is also a time of year, where I look back over the past year to see how far I have come on my walk with the God.

This year, I am doing something different.  I am taking the Word of God and resting in the book of John and specifically in chapters 14-17.  These are key Scriptures for the Believer.  Jesus really opens up his heart to His disciples and gives them a glimpse of heaven and of him.

Just reading through the Bible, one can realize how fearful it was for people to come into the presence of God.  And the enemy would like for you to be fearful too.  Sometimes we focus on the enemy and we forget what we have in Jesus.

If you like, you can join me on this part of my journey.  It is just opening up the Word and reading what Jesus has to say – hear it – believe it – obey it – surrender to it.  In other words – “Let It Go!”

My focus today is upon John 14:1-4.  I will be using the Passion Translation throughout this Lent Season – I love the picture words that I discover along the way.

Open up your heart and your mind to Jesus today and let Him speak those same words He spoke long ago to His first disciples.  Don’t be fearful.

Don’t worry or surrender to your fear.  For you’ve believed in God, now trust and believe in me also.  My Father’s house has many dwelling places.  If it were otherwise, I would tell you plainly, because I go to prepare a place for you to rest.  And when everything is ready, I will come back and take you to myself so that you will be where I am.  And you already know the way to the place where I’m going. – John 14:1-4 (TPT)

I love how Jesus speaks to their fear.  I am sure He looked at their faces and saw fear – concern – change.

Today, in our Country – all over the world – many have bought into worry and fear.  Stop.  Jesus looks out at us and tenderly looks into our hearts and says, “I’ve got this!”

Believe.  Yes.  Believe.  Believe in what Jesus speaks to you.  That is why it is important to hear His voice.

Many dwelling places.  Yes, heaven is the main goal – the main resting place.  But believe that He has other places – right now for you.  Little stations along the way of rest.

He has made preparations.  And as a Believer, you know the way.  IF NOT, find the way.  For there is no other way to the Father’s House accept through Jesus Christ.  There are believers all around you – look for one who is not living in fear and ask them for directions.  Just remember, don’t be fearful.

Take these words today and ponder them.  Dream about them.  Let Jesus open up your heart’s mind and fill it with good things.

The song for today – is a song for the season.  Yes, I have used it several times on my blog.  But it is powerful.  It is so important to not be fearful and to be brave.

2. Do I believe that Jesus has this?  He has me in the palm of His hand?
3. Have you found the little stations of rest along your journey?
4. Am I willing to open up my heart to Jesus?  To hear?  To listen?  To obey?
