Remain. In. Him.
Do. Life. With. Him.
There is no other way to do life and do it well – than to remain in life-union with Jesus.
Jesus spoke these words very clearly. It doesn’t matter what translation you use. It is the same. Stay connected. Let the power source flow through you. Then the world will see Jesus living in His Children.
Let’s look at more of the words that Jesus spoke before he went to the Cross:
John 15:5-8
“I am the sprouting vine and you’re my branches. As you live in union with me as your source, fruitfulness will stream from within you—but when you live separated from me you are powerless. If a person is separated from me, he is discarded; such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire to be burned. But if you live in life-union with me and if my words live powerfully within you—then you can ask whatever you desire and it will be done. When your lives bear abundant fruit, you demonstrate that you are my mature disciples who glorify my Father!” (TPT)
It is in the connection that we stay alive and well.
A yellow tablet.
That is what my mom used to write her last words to her children. And no, it is not the type of tablet that you would imagine. I am talking a yellow writing pad! But my mom has always called it a yellow tablet. I saw many notes written out by my mom and my dad over the years on a yellow tablet.
Basically what my mom said – “Keep up with each other, that is very important.”
That is what was important to her. For her children to stay connected. To stay in life-union with one another. You see, as a military family, it is hard to stay connected at times unless you make an effort to do so.
Stay connected to Jesus! Do life with Him!
My song for today is a song that I have loved since childhood. It is because Jesus lives that I can face tomorrow. I could have never got to where I am today, if I did not believe these words.
When my first husband, Pat, died it was a very difficult time for me. This is a song that I listened to daily – hourly – secondly. It was what kept me together. To this very day, I cannot help but bawl when this song plays – why? Because I know it is because of the life-union with Him – I can do life today.
May the words bring comfort to you today.
