Presence. Do you desire His Presence?
This morning I was drawn to Psalm 17 – a Psalm of Protection. But what really stood out for me was found in verse 15:
“But I will see your face in righteousness; when I awake, I will be satisfied in your presence.”
Are you satisfied in His Presence?
There is a battle today. A battle to keep us from His Presence.
Why would the enemy fight so hard to keep us away from His Presence?
I’m a thinking it keeps us locked away in fear – in hatred – in unbelief.
As I sat pondering those words this morning, the Lord encouraged me to think of an old hymn that I sang as a child. I had to ask him to help me remember – and he did!
“In his presence daily live.”
Does that ring a bell for you?
I looked it up and found the hymn: All to Jesus I Surrender
We sang those words – some still sing those words. I will ever love and trust him, in his presence daily live.
Today, I leave that old hymn for you to listen to – may it bring back memories of the first days that you learned how to love him and trust him – when you truly desired to be in his presence. There are two versions to choose from – one is updated and the other is an older version. Enjoy!
