It has been a hard week for our Nation. So many people that I have talked with just say that they are drained. Emotions have run wild and many hurtful words have been spoken.
In this mess, I am eternally grateful that I know my Heavenly Father. I have invested time with Him. Getting to know Him. And He has helped me to discover who I am – who I am in Him.
I have learned so much from reading out of the book of Jeremiah. I pray that these words bless you today.
Jeremiah 33:2-3 – This is what the Lord says—the Lord who made the earth, who formed and established it, whose name is the Lord: Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come. (NLT)
This Scripture just blows me away! Knowing God! Yes! Knowing God!

This is what God says about Himself. The God who made the earth who formed and established it. The One who has answers to every problem we face. The LORD, Yahweh!
God says, “Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come.”
God’s people had turned their hearts away from the LORD. Rebellious hearts. Unrepentant hearts.
Jeremiah was representing the people. He had grown discouraged because the people didn’t want the things of God. They wanted their ears tickled. They wanted to be told that no matter how they lived – it was okay with God.
We are at a place similar to this right now in America! We have walked far away from the LORD – He may not hear us. If our hearts have indeed grown rebellious and we want our spiritual leaders to tickle our ears, we may be in the same situation.
But there still may be time to turn from our evil ways and seek Yahweh. The God who made the earth. His name is Yahweh.
What can we do? We can repent and return to Him. We can seek to know Him. He has wonderful things for His children – many hidden treasures just waiting for us to look for – remarkable secrets that we do not know about things to come.
IT IS TIME! TIME TO SEEK GOD’S WAYS. TO FIND THE ANCIENT PATHS ONCE AGAIN AND WALK WITH HIM. TALK WITH HIM. TELL HIM THAT HE IS OUR OWN.
O Father, forgive us! Forgive us! Draw your children back to your heart and show us our evil and hurtful ways to one another and especially to You. Remind us of what You have done before – burn the rebellious ways out of our hearts. I ask this in Jesus Christ’s name, amen.
My Song: I love, love, love this song. A few years ago, I use to play this song constantly. I received so much strength from the words. Indeed, whom shall I fear? I pray you find comfort and strength for today.
