Unfolding God’s Word – Day 31

There are so many key verses and awestruck scriptures within the Word of God.  It is great to park at different treasure chests and unfold small portions of scripture.  BUT we need the whole counsel of God to live by – we can’t take certain words out and try to live by just those treasures.

Today, I followed the Lord to a treasure chest marked 1 Peter 3 – then I picked verse 12 to share with you today.

1 Peter 3:12 – For the eyes of the Lord Yahweh rest upon the godly, and his heart responds to their prayers.  But he turns his back on those who practice evil.”  (TPT)

Many times, as God’s children, we think we can hide things from Him.  Our lies.  Our anger.  Our rebellious behavior.  It is done in secret so I should be safe.  NOT!  God knows everything!  He knows what I will do long before I actually do it.

Remember that His eyes are watching – those who are righteous – His eyes see and his ears are open to their prayers.  BUT God does not hear from those who practice evil.

It is so important to be in God’s Word daily.  We need the whole counsel of God to speak to us.  God has given us a book that has all the answers to our problems, our trials, our tribulations.  Seek His Counsel always.

Key Words from unfolding God’s Word for the month of October have been:  Listen – Obey – Trust.  These words are important to follow.  We have an election coming up next week.  We need to know the heart of God – so that we do what is right in His eyes and His ears will be open to our prayers.

NOTE:  These words were written two years ago, and it amazes me how true the same words are for this year 2018.  In two weeks, we have the opportunity to vote – a vote that could change our Country. The next weeks are crucial.  Spend time with the Lord.  Listen. Obey. Trust.  There are many messes that need to be cleaned up.  And the Lord Yahweh is the only one who has the answers.  Listen.

2 Chronicles 16:9 – For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him. (ESV)

His eyes are always searching for those whose heart is blameless toward Him.  He sees.  He knows.  He seeks.  He gives strong support to those whose hearts are following hard after Him.

As I close this challenge of writing for 31 days, I want to share a song that I love.  We are in the middle of storms in our Nation.  We need to hold on to God more than ever before.  Seek Him daily.  Ask to have His Heart:

I AM

Heavenly Father, Thank you for the treasures that I have discovered this month by daily walking in Your Word – unfolding fine treasures each day.  Father, may my heart always be for you and not against you.  I pray for those who have come along side of me this month – sharing in the journey of walking Your Path.  May we continue to walk upon this path of righteousness that leads us to the heart of God.  I love you, Lord.  I ask this in Jesus Christ’s name, amen.
