Fall is upon us.
The Leaves are falling continuously – crisp and so perfect in shape. Some look as though they were smoothed out by an iron. Others have formed shapes; twisted and curled and yet perfect and crisp.

Then rains and winds start to destroy the leaves perfect shapes. Just like the leaves, the rains and winds can blow us about and destroy the identities placed upon us by God, with man-made destruction. We no longer remember who we truly are in Christ.
God created us to be different – with unique talents and gifts to be used in His Creation. We leave behind those perfect creations that we have designed for others to enjoy and also for our Creator to enjoy. But then, man comes along and looks at those creations and makes fun of them and tells us that there is nothing unique about us. They trample upon those gifts until they are no longer identifiable. Torn to shreds.
Fall is a good time to let “things” fall off of us. The chaos – the hateful comments towards us – those telling us we will never amount to nothing. Comments that silence us and then we hide away.
It is a good time to remember that Winter is coming; the snows will come in and make everything clean again. If you have allowed the destruction of man to come against you; it is a good time to remember who you really are. That you allow God to cleanse your slate of hateful words placed upon your heart with what He has always said about you.
John 1:12:
But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. (NLT)
Today, are you His Child? His Loved One? Then cling to His promises and His love.

Heavenly Father, What a beautiful reminder of Fall. How one minute we see the beauty in the changing colors of the leaves and then the falling leaves hitting the ground in a beautiful array of colors. Unique for the season of Fall. But like those leaves, we become trampled upon by man and his destructive words and ways. And at times, we believe those hateful words spoken against us. Father, help us to remember who we are in Christ; that we are treasured and unique just like the season of Fall. Thank you for your faithful reminders to me. I love you, Lord. I ask this in Christ Jesus’ name, amen.
