Star of Bethlehem

Matthew 2:1-2
After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him.” (NIV)

The Star of Bethlehem will be visible on December 21, 2020. What a great year to be reminded of the Birth of Christ Jesus.

Star of Bethlehem

From what I have researched, this star is the coming together of two planets – Saturn and Jupiter aligning up in the sky. It will align perfectly on December 21st. It has already started lining up these past two weeks and the best time to see it – about an hour after your local sunset time – look to the Southwest.

It has been said that the last time the two planets lined up perfectly was 800 years ago.

Do a little research, but more than anything else – get outside and anticipate seeing that Star of Bethlehem shine brightly in your world and be amazed at our Creator’s Universe.

Heavenly Father, oh what a night! That night the star shone so brightly announcing the birth of Your Son. You are calling us to look up – look up and see that star that shined so brightly years ago – announcing the Savior of the World. Thank you for your gifts. I love you, Lord. I ask this in Christ Jesus’ name, amen.
