When. Is. Hatred. Acceptable?

Hatred.  It appears everyday in my surrounding.  Never in my life have I seen so much hatred!

Why?  How did this happen?  And how did it become acceptable to hate one another?

Yes, this is what I woke up too!  Why is there so much hatred?

I was reminded of Scripture this morning – Proverbs 6:16-19:

Proverbs 6:16-19 – There are six things which the LORD hates,
Yes, seven which are an abomination to Him:
Haughty eyes, a lying tongue,
And hands that shed innocent blood,
A heart that devises wicked plans,
Feet that run rapidly to evil,
A false witness who utters lies,
And one who spreads strife among brothers.

I invite you today to look at these things that the LORD hates:

1. haughty eyes
2. lying tongue
3. hands that shed innocent blood
4. heart that devises wicked plans
5. feet that run rapidly to evil
6. false witness who utters lies
7. one who spreads strife among brothers.

Look long and hard at these seven things and consider if you are caught up in any of these ways.  Have you become a part of what the LORD hates?

Have you made your hatred of others acceptable?  Because I don’t see it on this list!

If you must hate, hate the things that the LORD hates.

How Deep the Father’s Love

Today, I end with a thought to contemplate:

What sort of God would create us, sacrifice his One and Only Son that we might have salvation, inhabit us, all that we might hate one another?
