I woke up this morning with these words on my mind – Don’t get caught up in the crazies! My first reaction? Whaaaat?
Today we unfold God’s Word in Lamentations 3:22-24:
The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.”
When you walk with God daily – down his path – even surrounded by the cray-crays, your heart can stay at peace. Oh yeah! You might come around a corner and get smacked in the face, but you have been in “His Peace,” so it’s easy to regroup and stay in his love, his mercies, his faithfulness, and in his hope. Nothing less will do.
There are six major keys found in this verse that you can hang your soul on today:
- The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases
- His mercies never come to an end
- His mercies are new every morning
- He is faithful
- The Lord is my portion
- You can put your hope in Him
These verses are power-packed! No way around them! Believe! Then stand in God’s Peace.
Father God, my hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness. I dare not trust the sweetest frame but wholly lean on Jesus’ name. When darkness veils his lovely face, I rest on his unchanging grace. In every high and stormy gale, my anchor holds within the veil. His oath, his covenant, his blood supports me in the whelming flood. When all around my soul gives way, he then is all my hope and stay. And when He comes with trumpet sound, O may I then in him be found! Dressed in his righteousness alone, Faultless to stand before the throne! Father, may these words penetrate deeply into my soul today and forever. I love you, Lord. I ask this in Jesus name, amen.
