Unfolding God’s Word – Day 20

I am truly amazed at how God works in my life.  Two years ago, when I took this 31-days of writing challenge, I never fathomed how the words would affect my life.  I have been writing these past 20 days based on those words written in October 2016.

The Father led me to do so – so that is what I am doing.  We were at similar crossroads in 2016.

Today, look for those similarities.

With each day that springs forth, I become more and more excited about “The Times.”

Why am I excited?  Because I am seeing the Truth unfolding and understanding is becoming clearer to me and to many others.  Within the next 3 weeks, how we react to the natural realm will affect the spiritual realm.

As God’s children, we can get caught up in the chaos and conflict that surrounds us or we can do what God has commanded us to do – to “Love One Another” and to “Walk in Truth.”

Today, I unfolded God’s Word in 2nd and 3rd John.  John is speaking to the church in 2nd John and then to an individual in 3rd John.  These two books have only 28 verses combined.

I will unfold a couple of verses today.  Please join me on this path – this journey of learning how to walk in Truth and Love together.

2 John 1:4-6 – How happy I was to meet some of your children and find them living according to the truth, just as the Father commanded. I am writing to remind you, dear friends, that we should love one another. This is not a new commandment, but one we have had from the beginning. Love means doing what God has commanded us, and he has commanded us to love one another, just as you heard from the beginning. (NLT)

3 John 1:2-4 – Dear friend, I hope all is well with you and that you are as healthy in body as you are strong in spirit. Some of the traveling teachers recently returned and made me very happy by telling me about your faithfulness and that you are living according to the truth. I could have no greater joy than to hear that my children are following the truth. (NLT)

This week in walking through the Word of God, I have discovered many references to loving one another and walking in Truth.

The sad part for me to read from these Words is found in 3 John 1:9-11. There is an agitator – a deceiver – one who wants it to be all about him and his ways.  He is going around and causing strife and conflict with the believers.  Sadly, today we have those in our country who are doing the same.  Be careful.  Especially within these next few weeks to make sure you have put your love on – the love of God.

November 6th should be a day where we can freely go to vote and not be hindered by agitators.  That should be an expectation as a citizen of the United States.  When we step into the voting booth, there will be no one else with us.

Father God, I praise you and worship you and thank you today that you are in charge of everything.  Victory has already been won.  We have decisions to make within the next few weeks – there are two visions for America out there.  Father God, help us to look at these visions and then seek you for wisdom.  Father God, I pray for those who don’t know Jesus as their Savior, that many will come to know Him and accept His free gift of salvation.  Help us to stand in your perfect peace and avoid all agitations and conflicts.  I love you, Lord.  In Jesus Christ’s name, amen.

ONLY.  That word seems to be lonely.  Alone.  Only you will walk behind that screen to vote.  I encourage you to be prayed up – walking in truth and love.

My Song:  Only you.  Only the Father can guide my steps into love and truth.  I need to follow Him.  When I am alone.  When I feel lonely.  Only God can fill those empty spaces within.

Only You
