Unfolding God’s Word – Day 24

The Just Judge

The Lord God is the Just Judge over the whole world – over His Creation. When we start judging Him and His Ways and His Thoughts, we usher in our foolish ways and thoughts. When will we ever learn?

God did not create in chaos nor does he create the chaos that we live in.

Just Judge

Psalm 94:1-11
O Lord, the God of vengeance, O God of vengeance, let your glorious justice shine forth!
Arise, O judge of the earth. Give the proud what they deserve.
How long, O Lord? How long will the wicked be allowed to gloat?
How long will they speak with arrogance? How long will these evil people boast?
They crush your people, Lord, hurting those you claim as your own.
They kill widows and foreigners and murder orphans.
“The Lord isn’t looking,” they say, “and besides, the God of Israel doesn’t care.”

Think again, you fools! When will you finally catch on? Is he deaf—the one who made your ears?
Is he blind—the one who formed your eyes? He punishes the nations—won’t he also punish you?
He knows everything—doesn’t he also know what you are doing?
The Lord knows people’s thoughts; he knows they are worthless! (NLT)

I am reminded of two “Go-to” verses:

Isaiah 55:8-9
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. (NIV)

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. (NIV)

Allow the Lord to have His way with you. Open your eyes and your ears and then open your heart to His Wisdom. Trust Him with all your heart and mind and soul. He is the one with all the answers to our problems today. Listen to Him.

Don’t allow man to change your view of who the Father is. He is a Good Good Father. Allow Him control of your life.

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for the reminders today of Your Goodness. Thank you that you are the Just Judge – that you are fair in all Your Ways and Your Thoughts. Help us to stay away and out of the chaos and trust in You totally. And for those who did not have a good role model for a dad, will you please show them the ways of a Good Good Father. I love you, Lord. I ask this in Christ Jesus’ name, amen
