Angry Words. Once angry words leave our mouths, there is no way to gather them back. In most cases, we found ourselves going deeper into the anger because we don’t know how to return to loving one another. And that is how we remain, living within an angry environment.
Anger and Hatred. Does it seem to be the “in movement?” Just staying angry and hating one another. When does it end?

I am reminded of a song that I sang as a child in church many years ago. A hymn about angry words. Most people that I have asked if they know the song, have never heard of it. And yet, for me, I am reminded on a regular basis from my Heavenly Father about that song and it is brought back to my remembrance. A reminder of what angry words do to friendships.
That song touched me as a child and it still touches me as an adult.
James 1:19-21
Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires. So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls. (NLT)

Heavenly Father, I thank you for the reminder of these words that you placed so deeply years ago when I was a little girl. I have never forgotten them. I pray that others will be blessed today by these words – words that remind us what anger does to our relationships. Help us to seek out love for one another and desire the righteousness that you desire of us. I love you, Lord. I ask this in Christ Jesus’ name, amen.
